Our one year old really got into the Super Bowl spirit!
When your one year old gets into the Super Bowl spirit and your kid spikes the home phone into the dogs water bowl. Acting like she is celebrating after scoring a touchdown… Great way to start out Super Bowl Sunday!
You are in the kitchen getting ready for Super Bowl Sunday when you hear the noise of water splashing. Usually that just means your one year old is playing with the dogs water bowl again… Well when you go to intervene and stop her from making a mess you see a different thing happening. This time your one year old kid is not just playing with the water but has decided to spike the home phone into the dogs water bowl!
Usually when she gets into the dogs water bowl you just have to take her to the sink and wash her hands, then wipe up the spilled water with a towel. But when you see an electronic device in the water bowl priorities change quick!
After realizing that the electronic device is not plugged in and is battery operated you can breath a little sigh of relief. Then once realizing the damage is already done, you might as well just laugh about it. Then take out your phone and snap a few quick pictures before taking it away.
Luckily it was just the home phone and not a cell phone that took a swim!
A new home phone is so in expensive compared to a new cell phone so this stunt ends up hurting the wallet a lot less than what is could have been!
Through quick actions we were also able to save the home phone and it still works. We quickly took the phone from our little one and removed the batteries. Then layed it down in a way any water would drain away from the electronics.
Luckily this phone some how floats!
When the phone was spiked into the dogs water bowl the phone actually floats! So the water didn’t get into every little area, very little actually got inside. And most of what got in was just in the battery compartment. So that area was easily drained and cleaned up.
Not often your kid is the one that scores the first touchdown of Super Bowl Sunday!
